SMILE MAKEOVER

CLINICAL CASE STUDY

PATIENT 1

Smile Makeover

FIRST APPOINTMENT

In this case the patient had good anatomy of teeth but the two crowns were completely mismatched and the centrals were filled with composite which had stained and left behind a very unaesthetic smile for the concerned patient. I removed the crowns and prepped the teeth for a new restoration to give this patient a smile of his dreams.

After prepping the teeth, we take a few impressions for the new teeth and then place temporary teeth at the same time giving the patient a feel of what they can expect at the final visit. Temporaries are a great medium to discuss the things we like and don’t like, any customisations that patient needs. Once they’re perfect we take an impression again to make sure we carry on them to the permanent restoration.

FINAL APPOINTMENT

In the Final appointment I remove the temporaries, assess the condition of teeth and gums if they need any treatment prior to fixing the new teeth permanently. Then I place the restorations in the mouth and let the patient feel and get comfortable with them. I show the patient what they look like, and once they’re happy with the shape, design, colour and bite, I fix them permanently using a special material that prevents any bacterial growth, sensitivity or any problems that may come in the future years to come.

In this case I did a combination of front four crowns and veneers ensuring no tooth structure is lost or over-prepped. The final result looks stunning giving my patient a perfect smile to show-off and be proud of.

PATIENT 2

Smile Makeover

FIRST APPOINTMENT

In this case the patient presented with a lot of challenges. Let’s start with the upper arch. The lateral incisors were missing, the centrals were very small in size in comparison to the overall face of the patient. The canines were very close to the midline. The premolars were rotated and placed in a very tricky position. Everything had to be fixed. The lower arch had two retained milk teeth and in order to fit the bite well, I had to fix the lower teeth as well.

In this case I did a combination of eighteen (18) crowns and veneers, ten in the upper arch, eight in the lower arch. The final result looks stunning giving my patient a perfect smile to show-off and be proud of.
